COMPLIANCE

  1. Compliance in MCCI
At PT Merak Chemicals Indonesia (‘MCCI’), “compliance” is not simply observance of laws and regulations. Besides laws and regulations, compliance is observance of social norms and company codes of conduct.

    Our Responsibilities
Each of us individually must observe the following to ensure and promote compliance.
    1. Each of us must read, understand, and always act in accordance with the MCCI Compliance Guidebook.
    2. Increase daily awareness and sensitivity towards compliance, actively participate in company-organized training sessions.
    3. Confirm that there are no problems with compliance when carrying out your daily work duties, and if doubts arise immediately stop working, consult, or report to your superior.
    4. Speak up, consult, and raise concerns with the company if you become aware of possible compliance violations. Provide full cooperation when the company investigates a compliance violation.

  2. Respecting Individual Dignity and Rights
In our relationships with various people we are involved with, we must accept and respect each other's character and individuality. We must not engage in discrimination, bullying, abuse, or harassment in any form physically, verbally, or non-verbally, including through online media.
Maintaining a respectful and inclusive workplace is essential to fostering a positive and productive working environment for everyone. We are committed to upholding dignity, equality, and diversity in all employment practices. This commitment underscores the importance of preventing discrimination, harassment, and abusive behavior, ensuring that all individuals feel valued and safe in their interactions within the organization.

  3. Compliance Hotline

Each of us in MCCI has a responsibility to speak up if we become aware of any conduct that can be classified as compliance or has such likelihood. We encourage and value the act of speaking up, as it helps us understand why mistakes happen and enables us to respond in a supportive manner. The company provides resources to assist all employees in addressing compliance challenges. An employee’s manager is the first and most appropriate resource to consult or report, as they are familiar with the employee’s duties. If the manager is unavailable, or if the employee is uncomfortable discussing the matter with them, the employee may consult or report to the Compliance Hotline, a service provided to allow employees and MCCI constituents to consult or report compliance-related concerns.
